On Easter Sunday at approximately 7:00am 9-1-1 received reports of a residential structure fire at 142 Homestead Street in the Swisshelm Park section of Pittsburgh. 19 Engine, which is located just doors away from the address, arrived on the scene within minutes and reported heavy fire and smoke from the 2nd floor of a two-story brick residential structure.

Crews made entry and initiated an aggressive interior attack. Crews quickly darkened the bulk of the fire, making a quick stop. The house, which is owned by Pittsburgh firefighter Owen MacAfee (Former Wilkinsburg Fire Chief before the merger with City of Pittsburgh) sustained moderate to extensive damage.
