On Wednesday, February 16, 2011 Allegheny County 9-1-1 received reports of a house fire at 728 Ridge Avenue in Stowe Township. Stowe Township Police Officer Jeff Gruber arrived on the scene within moments and reported a working fire, with heavy fire conditions on the 2nd floor on the Charlie side.

Stowe Township Chief Dave Gallagher arrived on the scene and assumed Ridge Avenue command. Command reported working fire on division 2 of a 2 1/2-story wood frame residential structure with exposures on the Bravo and Charlie side. All occupants were accounted for.

Chief Gallagher requested a 2nd alarm assignment, consisting of an aerial from McKees Rocks and Ben Avon and Emsworth RIT. Interior crews initiated an aggressive attack and made a quick knock down on the bulk of the fire.

The Stowe Township Fire Marshal, as well as the Allegheny County Fire Marshal investigated the fire.
